PictureOur Imaging Room with a multitude of digital diagnostic equipment.
At Porter Pet Hospital we use the most current diagnostic capabilities to evaluate your pet for chronic conditions, such as arthritis, as well as acute conditions, such as ingestion of foreign material that may cause intestinal obstruction and symptoms such as vomiting, abdominal pain and anorexia (See amazing cases on link below).  Digital radiology allows veterinarians to enlarge images we take as well as takes images with much greater detail than traditional x-ray machines. Better diagnostics mean better care for your pet!

Digital x-rays at Porter Pet Hospital vary in price with the size of your pet and the area we are imaging.  Some views, such as the hip x-rays below, may need a small amount of sedation to be taken properly.  Sedation is not typically needed for most views, but if your pet is in pain or nervous and fractious, it is best for them to relax during the process!  We want to minimize the stress your pet experiences here at our office.  Call us for specific pricing based on your needs for your pet!

There are many ways to utilize digital x-ray. Counting puppies and kittens late in pregnancy helps breeders or owners know when mom is done with labor or if she may be having complications.
