Our In-House Chemistry Machine allows us to evaluate:
-Kidney
-Liver
-Blood Glucose
-Critical Electrolytes
-Blood Cholesterol
-Thyroid Hormone

Our In-House Analyzer also lets us look at Complete Blood Counts which help us to determine your pets white blood cell and red blood cell counts, looking for signs of infection, anemia, or inflammation.  We can couple this with presenting symptoms and physical exam to help decipher a proper approach to treatment.

We also have the ability to look at clotting times to see if your pet can coagulate their blood normally.  We do this if they are having difficulty in or after surgery, have unusual bruising or blotching of skin or have other symptoms that may be related to a clotting disorder.  Having this information immediately available can be critical to proper treatment.

For more comprehensive types of work-ups, specific testing of disease, cultures of bacteria and yeast, or for histopathology services, we  use an outside laboratory.  These samples are typically picked up the same day and vary on return from 1-5 days, depending on test.
