Laser Therapy
Laser treatment has become an integral part of comprehensive care for many problems in both human and veterinary medicine. Some of the many benefits of laser therapy include pain relief, decreased inflammation, expedited healing, and improvement of function. However, it is difficult for one laser to cover all of these areas as the amount of power and wavelength of light can change the overall function. This is why we offer four different lasers to ensure we are able to offer the very best care possible.
How?
Photobiomodulation (PBM)- According to Light Force Medical, "During PBM, photons enter the tissue and interact with the cytochrome c complex within mitochondria. This interaction triggers a biological cascade of events that leads to an increase in cellular metabolism, which can decrease pain as well as accelerate the healing process." Read more on the topic and view some helpful illustration Here. What can it treat? The list of applications for laser is long and growing.
