Dr. Liz Brucchieri had wanted to be a veterinarian since she was a small child growing up in Rapid City, South Dakota. She idolized her uncle who was almost exclusively a small animal surgeon and she pursued veterinary medicine from middle school on. She did her undergraduate studies in Missouri at Northeast Missouri State (now Truman College) in Kirksville, Missouri where she played Division II volleyball and was a member of TriSigma sorority.
She was accepted into veterinary school three years into her undergraduate studies and moved to Columbus, Ohio to start her training at The Ohio State University. After graduation, Dr. B did a one-year rotating internship at MedVet/CVES in Columbus, OH. She later continued her training and studies at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists doing a surgical fellowship in Houston Texas.
Dr. B enjoys diagnostics, ultrasound and both soft tissue and orthopedic surgery. She also cares deeply about helping rescues and those in need. Outside of work, Dr. B can be found at one of her kid's sporting or extracurricular events, and spending time with family.
