Post-Surgical Concerns:

Picture

It is "normal" for pets to feel a bit sleepy, low energy and have a reduced appetite immediately after surgery. Vomiting, extreme lethargy, or more concerning symptoms, however,  need to be addressed. If your pet had surgery here at Porter Pet Hospital and has you concerned, please refer to information and guidance on your "Release Instructions" handout or refer to the "What If...After Surgery" page. If our office is closed, you can text the a doctor or technician at 440-570-9423 (no voicemails) and should be contacted within 24 hours. If you need immediate assistance please call an emergency clinic listed below.

further absorption of medications or toxins they have ingested.
Sometimes it is life threatening to bring up substances and it can just
cause further harm to your pet.  Call our office during normal business
hours for assistance or after hours call an emergency clinic or the above
hotline to get further instruction.  It can save money, heartache and
possibly your pets life if you address ingestions immediately.
